According to Total 911 Magazine, 991 and Turbo production has ended with exception of GTS, GT2/3 and unfulfilled allocations for Carrera T.... I asked several dealers about GTS allocation and they have all said that they have none until end of 2018...

My dealer told me that there are only eight 991.2 allocations left for the U.S. Don't know if that's accurate but that's what he said.
Maybe for the 2018 MY. 2019 MY allocations won't be published for a month or two. Per another thread on RL, the factory is scheduled to shut down from mid-July, 2018 to mid-August, 2018. Do you really think they are going to be twiddling their fingers until 992 production starts in late 1Q or early 2Q 2019? My Magic 8-Ball says there will be a gradual winding down of 991.2 production, concurrent with a gradual ramping up of 992 production.
I can tell you there is definitely something going on with the factory and reduced capacity. My 911T has been delayed twice now from April delivery (originally), then May and now June.
Because of low demand, the Porsche straight 911's (and their straight 718 cars) are not selling well. If you check out the Porsche NA annual sales figures for the past several years, you'll see that. Recent numbers look good because they include GT car sales as well as discounted car sales.
It appears the only two seater cars which, unequivocally, have demand are the Porsche GT cars. Today, any new 911 Porsch with a "GT" stuck on the *** end of the car means you are going to pay way over MSRP.
It makes all kinds of sense, therefore, to load up Porsches only two seater production line (Zuffenhausen) with cars which are (a) selling, and (b) giving dealers needed ADM money. That would be GT cars.
The article says as much in the middle paragraph about 6 lines down.
What's not being talked about is whether this historical drop in demand for Porsche straight two seater cars will continue into the upcoming 992 cars.
I'm not sure what effect China has on 911 sales. But, I've read the GT2RS will not be sold their. My guess would be the GT3RS wont be either.
Agree the 718s are struggling, and if it keeps up , the end could be near for those models. Disagree on 911 sales data. Plus it doesn't really matter as even the base 911 will continue to be the "halo" car visa ve the Cayenne, Macan and Panamera buyer (I say this as a proud and happy multiple time Cayenne owner).

There is construction going on regarding Mission E and from what I've heard, disrupting the production and 991/718 line.
Changing the car’s name from Boxster to 718 was a stupid move. Changing the motor to a 4 banger was even worse.
In my opinion the current bodywork for the Boxster isn’t “soft” enough to appeal to female buyers, and the car isn’t super interesting for men either. I greatly prefer the previous generation of Boxster.
