Default Best tire installer in the Seattle area?

Where to go for tire installation? I pretty much hate the local dealer here and don’t feel like being taken to the cleaners while having a mediocre job done.

Use Tire Tack's web site, and one of their recommended installers.

Tru Line. You should consider an alignment by them if you have your tires changed out.

I used one of their “recommended” installers once, Pep Boys. They cancelled the first appointment without notice because they had no one available to install tires. When they installed the tires they scratched a rim. The next day I walk in my garage and the right rear was flat. They forgot to tighten the valve stem.

+1. For Tru-line in Seattle or Bellevue. Be sure to ask if they can do centerlocks. Otherwise Cantrell's can do this.

The best I have used is Omni Brake and Alignment http://www.omnibrake.com/
They will not leave so much as a fingerprint on your wheels. One time back when I was doing Concours I cleaned and conditioned the tires before bringing them in and then asked how much trouble would it be to mount all 4 tires so the name is lined up opposite the valve stem?
Pat did not even so much as look at me funny for making this utterly **** request! Which he carried out to perfection!

The Tire Rack website shows the exact mounting equipment used by each of their drop-ship shops. Great so far as it goes but does nothing to tell you things like the guys at Elliott who have excellent state of the art equipment also have mechanics who are so clueless they check torque only if you ask them and even then AFTER already having seriously over-tightened with the air gun.

I'd go with Pat.

Note, Omni and Tru Line in Bellevue both don't have the correct tools to deal with center locks - you are best going to the dealer if you have these.

Cantrell or Tru-Line, no questions with either.

Of lately, I have been using Tru-line in Bellevue - Pete does a great job and is very careful. Believe it or not, I took my Ferrari to the Kirkland Costco a few years back and was really impressed with how careful they were in removing the wheels and tires... but that was done by good guy whom I don't think works their anymore.
