Yeah, except they compared the T to the wrong AMG GT! The GTC is as fast if not faster than a GT3!
The base AMG GT is the car to compare against the T.

Exactly. I like the AMG but I'm a Porsche and manual guy, so it would never be an option. I do find it interesting that the Burmester is a $1300 upgrade. Come on Porsche! We pay $1600 for Bose!

Agreed. Also £130k v £86k, so different price points by some margin too!

this is why I can’t get myself to buy a Porsche since VW acquired them. The pricing is way too greedy.

Yeah, but Porsche AG holds the majority of VW stock.

I think it's mostly greedy in the options department.

sadly no that’s not true. That was true pre 2012 when Porsche executives idiotically tried to buy a majority stake in VW. That backfired when they over-leveraged themselves. VW turned around and acquired Porsche.

Not sure what your source is, but it isn't up to date.

"Porsche Automobil Holding SE holds a stake of 53.1 percent of the ordinary shares of Volkswagen AG"

Thanks but this is not relevant. Porsche SE is just a holding company for the families that owned (the old independent) Porsche and VW.
In 2011 Porsche became part of the VW group and is wholly owned and controlled by VW.

(FYI, I’m an investment banker — it’s not a simple structure... VW simply owns Porsche.)

Correct. The old Porsche AG is now Porsche SE. And a new Porsche AG (Allgemeinschaft) is making the cars. VW does own Porsche, but the Porsche holding company owns both. So ,not sure how it's not relevant. But ok.

The “Porsche holding company” is not correct. Porsche SE is just a personal investment company which owns about 1/3 of VW. It is owned by the families that have owned Porsche and VW since they were founded. They are largely inactive and have nothing to do with the products. (It’s like the family of Steve Jobs owning a % of Apple).
VW owns 100% of Porsche.

For real? You should contact them and let them know their site is wrong.

"Porsche Automobil Holding SE ("Porsche SE") is a listed holding company" . (https://www.porsche-se.com/en/company/about-us/)

"Porsche Automobil Holding SE holds a stake of 53.1 percent of the ordinary shares of Volkswagen AG" . (https://www.porsche-se.com/en/compan...ing-structure/)

Not trying to argue here, but I'm baffled. I don't think their influence on design or products was ever mentioned by me. Anyway, moving on.

Why don’t you actually do a bit of research into what Porsche SE is...

Hint: Porsche SE was created in June 2007 by renaming the old Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, and became a holding company for the families' stake in Porsche Zwischenholding GmbH

And by the way, they more accurately own about 30% not 53%...

LOL. I said that already. See my response above starting with "Correct..."
Apparently you don't research, nor read. Hope your clients don't know. Shhh.

And I already showed the source stating it's 53.1%. Porsche SE themselves!

Moving on.
