Default Experience selling to Ultimo Motors, Chicago?

I have an offer to purchase my car from this dealer. Has anyone worked with them before? Would appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thanks!

Why? I've never heard of them. We have at least 5 dealerships in just the Chicago area alone, why buy from one of these used car places instead?

They bought my Carrera S. Very easy transaction. Only odd thing was that they used a bank draft rather than a wire. So I just waited to ship the car until the bank draft cleared. So it took about a week.

All the way from CA? Impressive. How'd they find it?

They offered to buy my Carrera S when it was for sale after reading my ad placed on Rennlist. Their buyer approached me in a straightforward manner. They use Lemonsquad to inspect your car and then it gets shipped to them if you reach an agreement. Price they offered was fair market value. Ultimately I decided to pull my car from the market. I looked on Ultimo's website and they had several 911s for sale. The reviews I read on them were all pretty good as I recall. I would sell to them if I were to do it again and the price was right.

I drove from Minneapolis to Chicago intending to buy a Carrera GTS from them last year and I walked away from it. I just didn't feel that I could trust them. The car wasn't close to the condition they said it was. I agree with a previous post-when buying a special car like a Porsche the chance of having a good experience is far greater with an authorized dealer.

They are a legitimate pre-owned dealer. They carry a lot of higher end cars.

If you like their offer, sell. Money is money. Who cares who buys it, as long as you get paid? But if you have to ship it to them and are afraid they might play games on the price, then that's something else. I drive by their dealership often in the warm months when we live up there. They seem to have a nice bunch of cars.

Almost bought a car from Ultimo recently. Did a PPI through a respected Indy shop in Chicago and they had nothing but glowing things to say about the owners and the quality of their cars. For what that's worth.
