Meet "Old Yeller"
Actually I'm "Old" and the car is "Yeller". New-to-me 2015 GTS. Options are shown in the last image.
Background:
I had a 2013 Boxster S (981) in these exact colors (yellow/black) that I absolutely loved. I live in the mountains with some fabulous driving roads right in my backyard. I traded the Boxster in about 2 1/2 years ago on a 2012 997.2 Turbo S Cab. Between the Eurosport free-flowing exhaust and a good custom tune it was a beast to say the least. While it was extremely powerful, I felt that the Boxster S was actually a lot more fun to drive here in the mountains. I started looking around a year ago for a 991.1 in really good shape and with low mileage as I wanted a NA car again with the PSE. I came across this one a month or so ago that perfectly fit my needs. It's in absolutely perfect condition. The previous owner had the brake calipers painted racing yellow to match the car (they're not CCB) and the aero kit installed at the dealer. The entire front end was covered from the beginning with PPF, and I had 5 coats of the Ceramic Pro coating put on it immediately. It had about 6,500 miles on it when I got it. Unfortunately the windows were tinted darker than what North Carolina allows so I had to have it removed and I had Huper Optik ceramic tint put back on.
As others have stated comparing the 997 to the 991, the 997 is a much "rawer" car. That's neither good or bad - it just depends what you're looking for. The 991 is MUCH more comfortable and refined. It's also much quieter but part of that is because of the switch from a cab to a coupe. I REALLY missed the sound of the NA engine, especially with the sport exhaust. My 997 didn't have a LOT of the features that the 991 does that I really missed like keyless entry and ignition (yep, I'm spoiled), parking sensors and backup camera, configurable display, streaming bluetooth, and even automatic headlights. There is also a noticeable difference in the PDK in the 991s (and 981s) and the 997s. I noticed that immediately when I moved from the 981 to the 997 and then when I got the 991. Honestly I don't miss the power of the TTS at all. Here in the mountains the tractable power and sound of the 991.1 is way better for me than the brute horsepower of the 997.2. That, and 430hp in a 3,200 lb or so car is plenty to get me in trouble!

Thanks. The weather has been total crap here for a week or so and I've been waiting for a good day to take some pictures. I finally got tired of waiting and decided to go out and take some in the fog and drizzle. Turns out the fog ain't so bad after all!
