Default 991.2 Rear Lights Fogging

i know this is an issue on the early 991.1, has this happen to anyone on the .2 rear lights? I got internal fogging on both my rear lights from the morning drive, disappeared when I got home. It didn’t fog the last time I wash the car.

Those lights are not supposed to get foggy on the inside. At least none of my two .2 had.

I had the same problem on a 981 Boxster S in the past and the dealer changed it at no cost.

This is normal on the front headlights, and all exterior lights per the owner's manual.

I found on the manual where it says misting is normal on the headlights, where does it talk about the tail lights?

Thanks, found it on my GT3 manual at a different page. I wonder if the .1 manual says this since replacement was provided under warranty for this issue.

I think if the lights have fog in them momentarily it's fine but if they stay fogged up it's a problem.

This has to reference the exterior of the lights, not the interior I would think...

Naw... the lights on the car are vented to atmosphere.. so it's possible for moisture to get inside. But they should go away a short while later.

My 991.1 did this on the rears, but it was heavy condensation on the inside of the housing. Had them replaced and same issue continued. I waited it out and then they shorted out and lost all light in the rear. Little fogging is fine, but condensation I would get looked at while under warranty

park the car in the sun with it shining on the lights ( or take a heat gun to them). Heat will drive the moisture off as they are vented to the atmosphere.

I wonder if we see this more & more now since all the lighting is LED, and they burn so much cooler, and don't cook off the moisture as rapidly?

Does mine look like heavy condensation?
When I got home that morning it cleared up, no more condensation. My buddy with the same car had no condensation, we drove the same route that morning.
