Thanks! Wish I could take credit for the build, but I do believe the dealership built it for stock? It was sold by them about 4 months ago, and then traded back in. I am just the lucky recipient of someone with a good eye...

I just bought a pre - owned Targa 4 GTS. After consulting with my local dealer, we were on the phone with his rep that handles allocations. Sports car allocations are very hard to get right now, period!!!
PTS non metallic
Chalk air vents in leather
houndstooth with piping vs stitching
That said, I couldn't pass this up, as it's a fantastic build, and was had at a discount. I, like bwiele, prefer my interiors a certain way, and this one just spoke to me. I do wish it had 3 additional options, but they can always be added down the road.
Keep looking, they are out there.

No affiliation whatsoever with this dealership. We bought our macan there, but not the gts or 997 turbo.

And I have millennial friends that talk and breathe Porsche’s and Ferrari’s, M4s and Hellcats, especially manual ones. 😀 Hopefully there are many more of them out there. I can tell you that those same people see my car at Cars and Coffee and give me thumbs up for having a manual. 😉

I agree. I have three millennial sons who fortunately are all highly paid, but are driving 3 - 7 year old Nissan and Toyota appliances. They put their money into their homes and travelling. Cars are merely a ,means of getting them from point A - B, and certainly not a status item.

I can tend to agree with the millennial comment. Being 32, my friends are at a loss when I tell them the cost of my “base” 991.2. Alas, it’s something I’ve wanted for ages and my personal life/finances are stable enough to afford such a treat.
However, those same friends stay at the “Aman” line of hotels across the world without batting an eye.
Regardless, there are a variety of stories and tales in this thread in regards to 911 allocation. I’m very curious to see the numbers for 2018 and how the 992 changes the story (or not)

Local dealer here has been stalking my 2013 Carrera S to get me to trade in for a 2018 GTS also...last one they sent me was north of $170k...I said thanks but no-thanks. Have 28k on my 991.1 S and its doing fine so far!

I responded to the comment that Porsche sales are down in part because of Uber, and I insist that there's no relation.
There isn't a soul in the world who previously would have bought a boxster, Cayman or 911 and now doesn't because they can hail a Uber.
