Default 991.2 Sports Exhaust - Same sound on GTS and S?

Are all 991.2 911s share the same Sports Exhaust system?

If so they must all sound the same?

So a GTS sports exhaust would sound the same as a 4S with Sports Exhaust?

That is a great question and I am curious as to the answer as well.

I know that the PSE on the 991.1S and the 991.1GTS (or 991.1S with powerkit) sounded different from first hand experience (not so much from the PSE but rather the engine note, deeper bark with the X51) but have no idea of how the GTS sounds versus the S on the 991.2.

Here's a post/thread from someone that had the PowerKit added to their 991.2 S making the engine a match to the GTS. The exhaust remains the same since their is no PSE included in the 991.2 PowerKit.

"The sound is different, appears deeper more aggressive and seems quite a bit louder above 4000 rpm (I didn't expect this, by the same token my family members concur)."

With both the compression and exhaust turbines being larger (51mm to 55mm and 45mm to 48mm respectively), I'd have to assume more sound comes through plus you'd get some changes in sound from the additional power.

On the #2 cars the exhaust won't sound different enough to matter. Since the turbos are now part of the exhaust flow there may be a slight difference - I cannot tell but I'm sure there will be at least one comment that will claim otherwise. I think the sound difference is about the same as a tuner branded sticker would make.

On the #1 cars the intake is modified and there is a slight noticeable difference in sound.

My .2 Targa 4 GTS was a little deeper and louder then my .2 C4S, however there’s less sound dreading in the GTS as well. How much loader? As R Rated said a little. I couldn’t put a number on it - maybe 20% louder? However, every little bit helps...
