Default White spots around windshield edge

Anyone know how this happened, how to correct, or am I looking at a potential warranty replacement?

Wax residue? Is that PPF next to it? Maybe your installer used the glass as an edge/guide and scratch the glass?

I haven't used any, the car was bought new and immediately XPEL'ed. I don't have windshield protection film either. The dealer did wash it couple of times though I asked them not to we can blame it on their chemicals...

Kidding aside, it looks bad. I've tried washing it multiple times but to luck.

Crossed my mind but I chickened out. If I scratch the edge or make it worse, I own the issue.

I have a gift card from the local dealer for $250 and was going to put it toward an oil change this Wednesday. I'll ask them to take a look. Will update this thread with the outcome, for future references.

Thanks

What have you used? Maybe try alcohol. Maybe clay your windshield. Maybe try a very fine cut polish on the edge. Less is best. Work up. Tape off the paint and PPF edge.

I was also going to suggest a glass clay if you can get in there.

Looks like a residue from the car cover during shipping. Maybe that's it? I had a similar issue with a new GTI I owned several years back. I hit it with warm water / sponge and it went away.

Meguiar's Ultimate Wash & Wax ...because it's yellow . The edge discolouration is only on the passenger side. Thanks for the tip to try alcohol!

Too funny.
I was told not to bother waxing due to the XPEL/Ceramic Pro combo.

Yeah, I would stop using that product. Just use a quality car shampoo. No need for a combo wash/wax product. That's probably why your paint is all yellowed.

Being on the multi-layer windshield, it looks like it is only the centre layer that has the 'white spots' I would first go to the dealer and get their opinion. If no joy there I might try a very small section of cleaning with some of the methods mentioned above. However, I just went out to the garage, the 2013 Box-S and the 2015 Cayenne are parked there. My 2017 991.2 TTS is stored offsite right now. On the Cayenne, you cannot see the edge of the windshield as it is hidden. On the Box-S I could see some very small sections, on the middle layer of the windscreen with what looked a bit like what you posted. But they just seem to be on on the very outer edge, and only noticeable when you look very closely. Also on my 2015 Volvo V60 I noticed the same white edge on the middle layer of the windscreen. It might be somewhat normal??
