No it was about "Cable channels, news, sports like ESPN, weather, traffic for starters" and you said "I can get all that and more on my iPhone" I guess through a bunch of apps and hoop jumping. Not me!

BTW unlimited is back. No need to keep relics.

I still can get all that and more in my iPhone without having to beg for a discount to Sirius. Who is jumping thru hoops? FYI there is a difference between unlimited plans. The new unlimited plan from ATT limit your speed and amount of data before they slow your speed. Also, they do not allow to stream in 1080p. That's why I keep my grandfather plan.

No begging as already explained. Takes me as long as each time it takes to pull over, find an app and press a few buttons.

WOW.....all I originally asked for was the best rates being realized for renewal after the trial period......... somehow this turned into a debate about SIRIUS vs cell phone....... I choose to use Sirius XM

I paid right around $120 for a year in my S550 that’s up every April. They play their stupid little game of charging whatever absurd amount
for renewal, I call in to cancel and they lower it to $120. Stupid business model IMO but I mainly listen to Fox, Fox Business, BBC, old rock, jazz and classical when driving. Sound quality of signal doesn’t really matter since my hearing is so shot. The base Burmester in the MB is plenty for me.
I wouldn’t consider reactivating the XM radio in my ‘17 Targa until and unless Porsche fixes the horrible MFSW display screen that won’t allow access to favorites without scrolling through every channel. I hope someone got fired over that. There I use Apple car play for now, but the Benz is my year round DD anyhow.

FWIW i found in my 15 that I could set the multifunction display in the dash to scroll thru favorites on that format [fm/xm/am] when on the radio screen. the one in the console won't do that. it required setting that as a preference.. helped tremendously.

Unfortunately, this is a known issue in 991.2s. It’s been known for a long time and to date, they have done nothing to fix it.
But thanks.

Tell them NOT to auto-bill your credit card at renewal. Then when you get the huge renewal bill you'll need to call and play "the game". What a sleazy-a$$ business model!

Don't give them your credit card number, insist on paying by check. I had a cancelled account on a sold car, and they dinged my CC a year later for "renewal". I had to do a chargeback on them.

Every Time I've renewed with a good deal, it was contingent on the auto-bill of a CC.

If you cancel the account you get confirmation. If you just think it is cancelled because you sold the car you are mistaken.
