Sun Visor Label Removal....?
Can the sun visor warning label be removed? It appears that the label is flushed with the rest of the vinyl sun visor making me think it is part of the sun visor....or is it so thin that it is an actual label put on and one can use some chemical to remove it?
Thanks....Abe btw this is on a 2013 991

It can be done, but I found the Porsche label very difficult to remove. I've never had problems with other vehicles not named Porsche. It entails soaking the label with 91% alcohol to soften the adhesive, and and start at one edge and carefully peel it off, hopefully in not too many pieces.

10x easier and faster to use the thin vinyl overlayments. I've done it both ways, and trying to remove them is do-able, but a huge PITA. Stickers are done in seconds.

I have done 3 cars. Here is how I do it.
Buy 91% Isopropyl Alcohol (CVS, Walgreens etc)
Fold a thick paper towel to slightly larger than the sticker
Soak the paper towel in the alcohol
Sit in the car with a towel on your lap to catch any drips
Unhook the visor so you can tip it so the sticker is facing up
Lay the soaked paper towel over the sticker , pat down so it catches all of the edges
Let it soak about 5-8 minutes, Lift a corner and see if the sticker is starting to come loose, let it sit longer if necessary
It should with patience come off all in one piece
Clean up the residue glue with the paper towel
Do a final clean with 303 protectant, should be residue free.
Has worked flawlessly for me each time.

I parked my new car in the garage March of 2014. Within 30 minutes I had the stickers off.

Well.... I did it following instructions as above. Had to work at it little by little peeling back with the 91 alcohol. It did not come out as one smooth intact label....but it did come off. One nice thing is that having a convertible you can put the top down, swing the sun visor around and work on it very easily. The glue residual...which was a lot...came off with rubbing the 91 alcohol and cloth over and over till it finally came off. BTW I have a vinyl visor.
Thanks for the Info.....now I am happy.

Did this last week using the method above and the labels came off easily all in one piece but I couldn't get all the residue off the alcantara visors. Any tips on what to use to get the glue residue off alcantara?

Reviving this old thread as I’m working on this now. I only had 70% isopropyl which works, albeit slowly.
I still have a rectangular spot where the sheen is different than the surrounding vinyl. I can’t tell if it’s residue or texture. Were you folks able to get it to look as if a stickers was never there?
