So it looks like while the 991.2 Turbo is very close, the 991.1 Turbo is diff in the following:
11.5 vs 12
56mm vs 63

While all have the exact same tire on them, how would that diff be translated to daily use?
Wider sicks out more with there since they are 56 vs my 63?

Did I get that right?

They will perfectly bolt up and work on your car. The rear wheels/tires will poke up 7mm more than your current setup. It's the equivalent of adding a 7mm wheel spacers on the rears. A -7mm offset is a nice bonus. Go for it!

You have to account for:
  • Wheel offset (as others have said)
  • Inset and outset in light of the offset and wheel width
  • Dynamic wheel well fit (a wheel and tire "walk around" quite a bit under various loading)
First two are doable with the right information and mathematics. Third one is a different matter...which may mean trial and (expensive) error.

Why would the recommended tire for the 991.1 rim would be:
11.5 x 20 ET 56 with 325/25 ZR 20 tires (rear)

While the 991.2:
12 x 20 ET 63 with 305/30 ZR 20 tires (rear)

and would the 305/30 fit that rim, it should, right?

Folks, someone on here, I believe Rennlister bweile, put these tires on his 991.2 GTS for winter wheels. It’s in one of the winter wheel threads.

Thank you @Boulder Mike, you rock.
Great find for exactly the same setup.
I'll reach out to him and listen to what he recommends.

That website has been invaluable in regards to factory wheel specs.
