2)"Regarding discount- we have 2 weeks left in 2017. I'd assume the dealer would be pretty excited to sell this 2017 model. What would a reasonable discount me off of MSRP $109,915? They have it listed as $600 off (roll-eyes).":

I got mine at a 10% discount. The MSRP was $105 and I paid $95, this was in May of 2017

I'm torn between the 991.2 base versus 991.2 S. Even considered the GTS. It's SOOO easy to add on 20-30k of options to any build. My basic thought is to get a base 991.2 with a few choice options. If I loooove it maybe 2-3 years later I can aim higher. Thoughts?

1)Specifically, what about this car? It seems sort of odd that it has a build date of 1/2017 and it's still for sale. Are the options bad? I personally like the options a lot. Almost exactly what I'd build if I did this myself: PDK, glass sunroof, Bose stereo, sports chrono. Also has folding mirrors and premium package. Love the color and wheels. Am i missing something? Wonder why this hasn't sold.

3)I'm in another city other than Houston. I would prefer it be shipped to me. I also have a local porsche dealer- if they transfer the car to themselves would they be able to give me a good discount also?
If I were you, I would not buy a car remotely and have it shipped. Instead, order from a local dealer and personalize the car exactly as you would want to after checking out options. When one is talking about a car costing over 100k, why buy a car optioned by someone else? The first car has 14-way seats. Check them out for comfort. Personally, I find the 18-ways much more comfortable. The car also has a standard black interior. The full leather interiors look much nicer especially if the car is going to be a DD. The premium plus package adds LED headlights and keyless entry. That money can easily go towards paying for a full leather interior. The car also has classic carrera wheels which is another 1.5k option I think. The standard wheels looks pretty nice unless you must have those wheels. Just some things to think about.
I ordered my 4S with exactly what I wanted and got 6% off MSRP. I also traded in a Boxster S.

I think it looks great on Graphite Blue. Black wheels and paragraph and you're good!

It's really something the original poster has to decide for himself.
Gus, I agree this all this is very personal--and very variable. You are correct that I am satisfied with the power in my 991.2 C2. And I am also sometimes frustrated that in most (legal) street driving I cannot use even half of that power. I am reminded of the other end of the power/fun ratio, and also reminded of a car I owned when I was in grad school. I found a Fiat X1/9 in great condition (in Arizona, don't laugh) that was about 8 years old, and still on original 145HR-13 tires (on massive 13 x 4 inch wheels). But that rock-hard rubber liberated the whopping 61 hp. I drove that car as it was for a few weeks, and I could be all out, sliding and oversteering, all well within the speed limit.

So... I contacted the dealer and made an offer- it's accepted-113k- and I'm pending paperwork!
This is a 2017 911 4S. 333 original miles, CPO. Looks well equiped. I'm very excited but a little nervous! Check the car out and tell me what you think (good or bad criticism- I'll take it).

Cool

bought this one a month ago or so in Florida.

$142k sticker 600 miles for $112k delivered to me 1200 miles away. Your deal seems right and its a very nice car, just be prepared to wash it all the time as black is tough color to keep clean.

Best of luck with it

My thoughts

The car looks great for a 1st 911. Options look good. My personal preference would be to add PSE and different wheels, but that's for me not you.
The 991.2 will make an excellent DD. Very comfortable, more compliant than the 991.1. But the 991.1 engine is N/A so a bit more raw and louder.
For resale, most will want glass roof. But dont buy the car for resale get what you want
If buying a 991.1 then the S is a must have. In the 991.2 the car has plenty of power.

Ask the dealer to make you an offer you cant refuse is you take delivery by end of the month.
