I don’t follow.... 4 cylinder? I’m not thrilled about that and think this engine was to hit a price point. Either was the construction, power and sub 2700 pounds makes for an interesting proposition.

IMO even the new vantage is ugly. I feel I’m getting old since I’m not really thrilled about new cars outside of the new panamera and s class

It has the same problem as the 718. A turbo 4. We can argue about NA vs turbo in the 911, but at least the turbo version is still a flat 6.

Made in China 4 banger starting at $100K might be a tough sell in USA. Sub $80K and then more attractive.

No way I would touch it for a few of the reasons mentioned above.

I keep calling the new Vantage a Miata every chance I get. It's sort of a half-compliment as I really like the look of the new Miata. But, a Miata is a touch cheaper than an Aston Martin.
