more of a raw sportscar imo but on paper, very similar performance.

It looks like the offspring of a Carrera 4 and a Alfa 4C. I knew cars and coffee was a bad idea, shouldn’t let these cars get so close together!

I don't envy the buyers of this car dealing with limited service offerings and the inevitable teething problems a new car program will run into. Let's see how many actually are on the road late summer...

The risks are there for sure, also not feeling it with respect to looks...

I don’t follow.... 4 cylinder? I’m not thrilled about that and think this engine was to hit a price point. Either was the construction, power and sub 2700 pounds makes for an interesting proposition.

IMO even the new vantage is ugly. I feel I’m getting old since I’m not really thrilled about new cars outside of the new panamera and s class

It has the same problem as the 718. A turbo 4. We can argue about NA vs turbo in the 911, but at least the turbo version is still a flat 6.

Made in China 4 banger starting at $100K might be a tough sell in USA. Sub $80K and then more attractive.

Probably good for Asian markets

This guy gets it!

STG - I wouldn’t touch it even for 40 if it’s Chinese made...

R Rated - the new Vantage looks like a cross between a Miata and a whale shark, fugly is a compliment at this point....

I actually really like the looks.
No way I would touch it for a few of the reasons mentioned above.

I keep calling the new Vantage a Miata every chance I get. It's sort of a half-compliment as I really like the look of the new Miata. But, a Miata is a touch cheaper than an Aston Martin.
