Neat looking car...but what I like about Porsche is the history of durability...meaning I can go to the track all day drive home take a shower and take my wife out to dinner in the Porsche...done it many times!

more of a raw sportscar imo but on paper, very similar performance.

Looks decently cool, probably fun, but a turbo 4? Hard pass. I wouldn't spend what I consider a lot of money for any 4, regardless of power, and I don't like turbo characteristics as it is on even larger motors, but at the very least they still have larger cylinder counts.
And seriously, could they tried to rip off a classic 911 rear any MORE? The car industry is so shameful in how they copy the leaders. The AMG GT looks like a comically long-hood (watch the Family Guy "phallic car" clip to get an idea of what I think of it when I see it) bastard child of a 911 and Jag, and now this thing looks like a wannabe futuristic 993 from the rear. The front reminds me of a Lexus LFA (at least the headlights do).
I also agree that the new Vantage looks a mess. It looks like the front fenders are supposed to be for a different car than the doors are for.

I'd take the rumored flat 6 NA Cayman over this thing any day of the week and twice on Sunday even if there was a significant price difference. As noted, I like having a very classy service and dealer network and a proven track record of reliable mass production. I might take a flier on something in the $20K to $30K range, but I don't gamble in the $100K range.

Yet another "World Car," carefully engineered for the Chinese market. Nothing to see here.

I always felt some of the Saleen were good to look at not to own. Definitely not coming out of China. I respect what the Chinese can do but no interest in cars made here.

Honestly the Saleen that still interests me (S7's are cool, but not realistic) are older Mustang Saleen's. Always loved them.
I want to root for this Saleen. More sports cars, especially by exotically boutique brands are a great thing. But a 4 cylinder turbo just loses the plot imo.

Saw it today. Unimpressed. But Saleen has delivered the goods before so we shall see.

More chinese aspirations of competing with Porsche. The Evora 400s is a competitor but support has been sketchy at best.

To sum up NSX too heavy and complex (more like a GTR fighter) and Saleen is too new or unproven, but if prices hold close to $100K it’s an idea for people who want a GT3 for 40% less. Have to see if it’s not too tiny inside like the Elise, IMO for me a car has to be big enough to drive comfortably.
