MT rollback control
Question for all you MT owners, how do you control rollback when starting on a steep hill or incline? Previous cars with manual park brakes it was easy to modulate between the E-brake and the clutch to eliminate rolling back.
Is there a feature the car has to control this?
Anyway just curious what folks do with the these modern MT cars that have only "push button" emergency brakes that offer zero modulation.

Read the section in your Owner's Manual about the Hill Hold function.

My build locks in a few days so trying to dot i's and x t's before it does.
Any insights into similarities between 7 spd and the new 6 spd Sport?

My only experience with a non-seven speed manual transmission is the Cayman GT4's which I'm led to believe the one for the GT3 and 911R is better. The gates, I'd imagine, are spaced further apart on the six. Though I'm driving the 991.2's seven-speed which (again, only through reading others' experiences) is an improvement over the 991.1s. But I quickly threw in a Numeric Racing shifter lol.

Like the others previously stated the MT comes with an automatic hill hold function. When I bought my car I didn't know about it...until I stopped for the first time on an incline. Boy was I pleasantly surprised!

There is a hill hold feature that automatically engages at certain angles. Keep the clutch pushed in and put the stick into first gear and the hill hold icon lights up and the car remains still. Put the stick in neutral and hill hold releases so be careful that you don’t do that and roll backwards!
I would hope the new GT 6 spd manual has the same feature.

In 43 continuous years of owning and driving MT Porsches, I never thought of or wanted a hill-hold feature. I have never used an emergency brake on any hill in any car I owned. When I bought my 991.1 MT GTS, I was amazed and annoyed by the hill-hold feature. After 43 years I know how to engage a clutch on a hill, including the notorious hills of San Francisco. When I first encountered that feature on the GTS I only stalled upon engagement. I now have command of the feature but still dislike it tremendously. I wish there was a mechanism for turning it off as there is for the engine delay. Porsche has wasted their time, energies and funds by designing standard features that no one wants yet charging for "options" that everyone should have. The German designers must reside in the good old Trumpian US of A to realize the necessaties we require versus those of the rest of the world. Thank you for your kind indulgence.

Hill hold works very well... And if it fails you, the MT car restarts automagically when you accidentally stall, super fast, like it almost did not happen !

Agree. Wish I could turn it off. If you're not a novice manual driver you really don't need it.
