Default Weird Electrical Glitch

About 5 minutes after start up, and every 5 mins thereafter, radio loses power. Reboots immediately, only to happen again...and again, etc. Loose connection or faulty relay me thinks.....Taking it in tomorrow, but wondering if the brain trust has seen this one?

What a coincidence. This is happening to me. I noticed that I did not boot up correctly when I start the car because audio Bluetooth streaming is not available. It resets four or five times and then it’s OK for a little bit, but this is happens every time I start the car for the past two weeks. Another coincidence is that my original for your warranty expired today, but the car is certified and my service advisor said it would be covered under the certified warranty so that I would not have to rush to bring it in.

Lex:

2013 Carrera - 31k miles, and no water damage of any kind. Original battery, and I’ll have the dealer check it tomorrow.

Your battery is past its useful life. Time for a new one. Also check to see if you have the latest PCM version. It is 4.76 on your car. It corrects these reset glitches which is related to blue tooth.

Call your dealer if it’s a 991. There is a known issue with the radio and many are being replaced by PAG.

Update - SA called to report a computer module in the system is bad, and the part is on order. Should be back in business next week!

Can you provide details? I have the same problem. PCM was replaced last year for different problems on my 2013. Now it reboots randomly. Not frequently, maybe once a day. When I was in for an unrelated issue the SA said it was because I had too many contacts in my phone....

Update- picked the car up today, and the SA confirmed they did replace the PCM. Also check the battery, and all OK there.
