PTS Production Delay
So my 991.2 GTS (In Riviera Blue) has been stuck in production for over two weeks. Is that normal? Usually it takes a week to pump out a 991. I did get a VIN, but my SA says it's still in production.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Well, if you say it usually takes one week, then by definition it is not normal. But I'd worry more about getting it into production, and not if its been there too long. I doubt they take these cars off the line once they have started very often. I'm sure the paint was available before they started, and it would take something catastrophic to get the car yanked off the line. It could be as simple as the SA assuming vehicle lock is the start of production.

Three Wheelin'
I don't believe a car would go into production (V260 - "Vehicle entry to body shop") unless all necessary pieces are in place. Two weeks in production is not unusual (V270 - "Vehicle exit production"). I'm not sure where in the production process a VIN is assigned to a car. Ask your SA to show you (or send you a copy) of the tracking page for your car.

If so, that might be your 'delay' as your vehicle goes
to V280 status to have those options (some of which
could not be fitted in the normal assembly line) installed
at CT-Assembly! CT stands for 'Custom Tailoring' at the
'Exclusive Manufaktur' workshop at Werk II in Zuffenhausen
after the car goes through normal assembly line!

Did you order options from 'Exclusive Manufaktur'?
