Go-to tire with least road noise for 2015 Carrera
What’s the go-to tire with the least amount of highway road noise for my 2015 Carrera. Live in Texas. I do not track.
My C2 came from the factory with Pirellis. They’ve got about 12k miles and have gotten real noisy on the highway.

Just about any tire you buy will be quieter than your tires with 12K miles, and any tire that you buy new that is quiet, won't be when it gets 12K miles on it and has been through numerous heat cycles. I've had Pirelli and Michelin on many 911s and they are all noisy when they begin to wear out. Many think Michelin are quieter, but my experience is that they too get noisy at end of life. I guess if you are willing to give up handling, you could go to some type of all-season tire for greater quiet and comfort.

I recently move to Michelin SS4 and boy, what a difference. Not only quieter but the also stick like gorilla glue.
Im not sure there are all seasons available for our cars. Michelin does not offer one.

Just switched to Michelin PS4s, ridiculously quiet, almost unbelievably so. Still going through the break-in and not pushing them too hard but can already tell that they are much better than the N0 Pirellis. Obviously i had done my research in advance and knew what I was getting into but it's nice to get the actual affirmation.
Insanely quiet...i hear mechanical sounds I didn't know were there before, hell I hear the SC clock tick, occasionally. Reminds me of an old alarm clock

Absolutely no question, the older PSSs were quieter than the PZeros that some of the 9x1 cars were factory-equipped with.
It's hard to say how much noisier they're getting as the miles add up, of course, but I'm pretty sure they're still quieter than my PZeroes were at the same mileage.
Both the Pirellis and Michelins have supposedly undergone improvements over the last few years, so YMMV...

I suppose the rears will be chewed out and replaced by then (I drive roughly 6k miles, annually).

You can also do a little soundproofing. There's a thread on this forum. I'm sure you have already tried the comfort settings...? on my 2015 GTS Cab it's:
31 Front
34 Rear
31 Front
34 Rear

just to add my 2 cents. even the michelin pilot sport cup 2s are much quieter than the Pzeros. on and off track.
