I don't get the Pirelli hate around here, either. While I generally prefer Michelins, these PZero Ns aren't bad tires—and Porsche engineers have told me they can match the old Pilot Sport Cups on track in the dry (for one lap, anyway), so they are grippy.
I don't get it either.. As a diehard Michelin Pilot Sport fan these N rated Pzeros are lightyears better than their old compound and at least as sticky as Mich PSS tires. Honestly they perform well and are not very loud. Now if we are talking about Pirelli's older Pzero Neros those were just garbage.. Don't even get me started on how many of the bmw guys used to praise conti dws tires and hankook v12s.. Those were garbage as well.

Haha. He said PZero Neros. I replaced a set of those with Michelin A/S 3 tires and the all-seasons were faaaaaaar better than the Neros.
But the latest Pirellis on the 991 are quite good.
Discount called me back and said the guys at Michelin headquarters said they don't make this tire in N0 for the Porsche. He brought up to the guys that tirerack has them up. He then told me that the Michelin guy said tirerack is only doing this to make sales off the Porsche guys.

I saw them on Michelin website. "For Porsche". 245 and 305
MPS4s on my car no less noise than OEM PZero N1, both measure about 78 dB(A) at 70mph on a concrete highway. On rubberized asphalt both about 72 dB(A).
Thanks for posting that. Sure is a lot of PZero hate around here and the bulk of it is noise!.
My 2018 4s coupe was delivered with P zeros N1. They are noisy no doubt about it. I now have 19-inch winter wheels and tires, continentals. The winter tires, 295 rears, are actually quieter than the P zeros.
In my 13 Boxster S after I switched from the P zeros N0 to MPSS tires, the noise level went down and the ride was improved.
But it is good to get some feedback from folks who have tried both the new P zeros and the new PS4S tires. At this point, I don't know whether switching to the Michelins is worth it. I do dislike the noise the P zeros make especially on concrete. On asphalt, they are are not that bad.
I've had the non-Porsche approved PS4S in 255/305 since about May (991.1 C4S). I have roughly 10k miles including 15 track days on them. Can't complain. Seems to wear great, grips great, performs well in rain. Substantial improvement to old-er PZeros obviously but I never got to experience them new.
This is the G-meter w the Michelins, looking at that previous post w Pzeros, max G looks the same so I guess I can't claim they grip better:

Discount tire is great, but they are usually a few weeks behind Tire Rack on introduction of new tires. I got my PS4S from my Porsche dealer (who buys wholesale from Tire Rack) the month they were originally released by Michelin, and Discount Tire got them in a few weeks later. Since the Porsche dealer passed Tire Rack retail pricing on to me, I was happy to buy from them. They also price matched Discount Tire's out the door price for the tires (even though discount didn't have them in stock).

Looks like the grip level of the PZero N1 is very similar to the PS4s. I have a 17 TT in Utah and had these as the best numbers for the PZero N1s:
