First drive reviews of 911T

I dont think youre going to see any of the low optioned T's any more than your going to see any low optioned GTS's.
Every GTS I've seen, which doesnt include nationwide searches and special orders, has been +140K.
Im guessing most of the T's will be +110K with RAS, and the T interior package, let alone the PCCB.

^^^ This. When I was looking to buy a 15/16 GTS all dealers had was 145K spec cars, and they laughed when I asked why. "who wants a stripped down car?". I reminder him it was loaded already and perfect at $124K. Laughed again, all the way to the bank

Has anyone noticed that the one of the coolest features of the T is the available sport buckets which automatically eliminate the rear seats? It’s the only US variant non-GT or R car that offers this option. This option alone makes this car special.

My 911 Carrera GTS (991.2) with two options: GT Silver metallic paint and Guards Red seatbelts = $123,010 (including delivery). However, I did have to wait eight weeks! I think the dealer was a little upset that I didn't add more options.

The shorter gearing in the T is just the S gearing. The base has higher gearing. The difference is negligible.
The one big differentiator is the LWBs. The rest is just stuff you can get on an S and some details. Not that any of that is not great as I think they nailed it, but the LWBs are where it is at. Too bad you have to get an alcantara wheel and shifter for an extra $910 to spec the LWBs.

If you spec LWBs and PCCBs, how much total weight is saved? I would imagine that the base black brakes can't be too heavy because they're so small. I guess I'm wondering how much can a US car be lightened overall when ordering with factory options.

Its not the calipers, its the rotors that save the weight

That’s mostly Porsche’s fault IMO. They strip out essential or very desirable options and charge a hefty amount for them lol. That’s why I love the Turbo S. It’s all standard!
Like the LED headlights with PDLS and black surround. $2900. Lol. I need those black surrounds. Then PDCC, Bose stereo, PDK, Active Safe, PASM, lane change assist...I just spit out $15k right there!

If you want sport design package, better off to go with lightly optioned GTS. Comes standard with sport design front fascia, which is the noticeable and pricey component. And would also get you the other standard stuff like shorter ratio transmission, spasm, LSD, and would also come with bigger brakes and lots more hp. And probably a discount.

This is a very, very cool spec IMO. Love the New T and the GT3 with Touring Package - proper MT 911s both and each owe their existence to the spectacular 911R. The T is the first 991 I would seriously consider trading my base 997.2 Carrera for (3140 lbs, 345 hp normally aspirated flat 6, modified with 1” lowered suspension, factory short shift kit, SharkWerks bi-pass, Porsche sports exhaust, factory sports seats, and Fabspeed intake).
