Default Fault engine control possible to drive on

Has anyone had the fault notice "Fault engine control Possible to drive on" pop up on there 991.1.
My problem was solved with a factory campaign WF 86 that corrected the fault problem with reprogramming control modules. Evidently this has been a common problem for 2014 991.1 cars. Unfortunately unlike a recall unless you go to a dealer you will not be aware of the campaign. In addition, I also had a faulty coil on one plug. My 2014 Carrera 911 S has 49,100 miles. Hopefully I will be good for awhile.

Other problems I have with this car were a leaking accessory belt tension damper (replaced) 41,000 miles, engine compartment struts failing (replaced) 39,000 miles and dead battery (recharged) at 31,000 miles. These were all under warranty.

2013
18K miles

Spet 2018 I had to bring car to dealer for vacuum hose leaks which caused the Coolant warning light to go on, dealer fixed it under goodwill since my car is out of warranty. I had to see if it was the COVs, they said those were fine.

I had the same error pop up on my '13 911 4S with 30k miles. Before that error message though, i got three different error messages at once, which were "PSM loss", "4-wheel drive limited" and "stop/start operation deactivated" it would go off overnight and go back on about 10 minutes after starting the car and driving the next day. after a couple of days of that, i got the " engine fault" message which did not go away overnight. I took the car to a reputable third party service shop which checked the codes and a cylinder misfire message came up among a couple other messages. I had them replace all of the spark plugs and ignition coils, as well as replace the battery which Porsche recommended i do a few months prior when i got my oil change because they said it was due a change. those things fixed the issues and havent gotten any error messages yet after a few days of driving and about 100 miles. I read on other threads that a weak battery may potentially also be the cause of the "PSM loss", "4-wheel drive limited" and "stop/start operation deactivated" error messages.

I got this on my 2014 991.1 a few weeks ago, and I took it to the dealer under CPO. They said it was due to a faulty gas cap which wasn't sealing properly. Nothing noticeable or odd when driving, just the light. Luckily mine was an easy fix.

Interesting that MY problem occurred within 24 hours of FUELING vehicle.
Noticed near the GAS CAP there IS a label stating "TURN until CLICK...or MIL may appear".

Just CLICKED again, this morning...couple drives to see if RESET....
Results: No RESET yet.
Thanks for your reply.

Did you see my thread? It might be the same sensor they replaced in mine - gas tank pressure sensor. This is a known issue and Porsche redesigned the sensor. This fixed my issue temporarily and have it in the shop as I write. It may be something simple as a gas cap.

Trust Dan!

He knows all about this.

Also, Spit on the seal ring on the gas cap and make sure it's clean so when it's clicked that it's tight.

Don't worry about driving it if that yellow warning comes up. It may go away on its own also.
