According to the suggested thread, to disassembly the paddles on the sports wheels simply by removing the screws? How about the installation process, is there anything to watch out for, such as wiring? Thank you!

The installation process is reversed, none MF and paddles, there is only airbag need connected.Airbag connector and harness including in new wheel.
BTW you need new airbag fits your new wheel.
How to remove steering wheel and airbag please reference page-3 and page-10 in this link https://gpsadapter.us/blogs/installa...allation-guide

Default Did it work?

Have the same OP question. I have a 991.1 sport design steering wheel with paddles...looking to put it on a manual 997.1.
Cant seem to find the blanks to fill the holes or a shroud designed for a manual transmission.
Anyone removed the paddles??
Any help is greatly appreciated

you can take off the face plate thing once the steering wheel is out. After removing it, then you can easily see how to disconnect the wire for the paddles and then the paddles can be removed by a few screws.
