Will 991.1 be iconic in 20 years?

I personally always have at least 2 sport/super cars in the garage at all times and replace one every other year. This way, I always have something new each year to play with. My 991.1S is proposing to ruin this cycle that I have become accustomed to since it has easily become my favorite car to drive and I can't really see selling it...
^ This was before I knew it was the last NA Carrera which is making the decision to keep it even more compelling... Guess it's time for a bigger garage 🙂

I'm with you! A bigger garage, and a custom entrance like the Bat-Cave

I love my 991.2 and will also love the 992.2 once I get bored of my car after 4 years. I buy cars to drive and enjoy them, not for it to be garage queens. Sure the 991.1 sounds great, but this is my first Porsche and it sounds better than my F10 M5 (V8 TT). I'm a technologist and I love technology to make us better and safer drivers. If I can get my hands on a GT3 then it would be a different story, but our run off the mill 911's are mass produced; pointless to speculate future demand.
Put 85K miles on the E92, 30K on the F80 and expected to put 12K/ year on the Porsche. No one here is asking if they’ll appreciate in value, just the question if they’ll be sought after.

When I was test driving the McLaren 720S at Pebble this year, the rep and I were talking about Porsches. He used to be a Porsche rep on the east coast. He said the 991.1 GTS NA 7 spd would be the Carrera to get too.
