Default Can I have your opinion?

Hi Everyone!

New to the forum and eagerly awaiting my 2018 Targa 4 GTS. I'm a day away from spec lockdown and still (unbelievably) stuck on colour choice. I know it comes down to personal taste but would still like to hear what you think.

Option 1: Agate with black and bordeaux interior (with carbon interior pack)

Option 2: Carmine with GTS interior.

The targa roll bar will be in satin black.

Would love to hear your opinions.

Thank You!

Option 3: Paint to sample both outside and inside, in glorious legacy Porsche colors. For example, Irish Green and cork. Sahara beige and houndstooth. And get the targa bar in silver!!!

This needs to be moved to the 991 Forum.

Agate with Black/Red interior is gorgeous. But, I'm biased.

"What color will I like" is very much un-answerable by anyone else.

For example, I'd never get red leather, regardless of other factor. I just don't care for it. Lots of people like it, though.

I'd get Carmine Red over Agate Gray any day, even though both are nice, but neither would be my first choice.

I'd never order the GTS interior because it requires that you get Alcantara. Whatever I think of the aesthetics of the GTS package otherwise, that's a deal breaker for me.

I personally would not get gray because it is too common on the road. Carmine would look best between the two with the black Targa bar.
And, you and I have the same issue, down to the absolute last minute for color. Very stressful!
But I agree with all those that say you will love either one.

I would say yes on interior if it was bright red but don't like Bordeaux. Carmine is simply gorgeous. I like grey but not the agate grey. Carmine with black bar/black interior

I like ventilated seats personally and seriously have an issue with alcantara and won't stand for it in my car (so much so I was going to swap out everything alcantara in my GT3 before touring came out). So no GTS interior for me. Now for the extra $3-4K over carmine, I'd have paint to sample. If you like grey, china grey is amazing, slate grey is amazing (both of them on this list) and I'd also have leather to sample in natural black (which, on a GTS would look great with the anthracite aluminum stock trim).

All in a moderate amount of money to make your car truly special.

Check out my C2 build below and the leather to Sample Thread.

I should add a disclaimer to my choice of Carmine above. Here is my car.

Thank you so much for your feedback so far. My dealer has this as my spec so far. I think I have until the end of today to make my final choice. I originally had an March '18 build date but this was brought way forward to October '17 due to a customer cancelling an order so really had only a week to firm things up. How does carmine look in the dull UK weather? Spec

Of the colors you mentioned I would choose Carmine Red. Agate Gray is beautiful but. so many 911s are White, Black, Gray or Silver..even I own GT Silver.

The most beautiful Targa 4S I've ever seen was in Arena Red that I saw in dealer inventory earlier this year. That would be my choice for this car.

Here is the Link to that car

Either way...best wishes with your new 911!
