Default Any ideas on how to increase cabin engine noise on 991.2?

I've recently come to the decision that the 991.2 (with PSE) does emit a "good amount" of sound when you're outside the car. This, however, does not translate inside the cabin.

Rather than making changes to the exhaust system (I've been long-debating adding sport cats to the otherwise straight-through PSE muffler), I was hoping we could come up with some ideas as to how to increase cabin noise without going the mod route--because once you pop, you can't stop).

I assume the answer will be removing certain sound deadening materials/panels, so the question is -- which ones? Has anybody tried this as of yet?

Some basic parameters:

1. Being able reverse anything done is key.
2. Aesthetics, not so much.

Parts catalog here shows lots of sound absorbers. Open the catalog and search for "sound", in partitular see illustrations 807-57, -80, -82, and -83.

My car has little induction noise, and neither Sport nor PSE buttons affect it.

This made me lol.

You could get a 360 Spider w/ aftermarket exhaust like I did, with the top down you almost need ear protection.

Make a big window between the rear seat and the engine and stick a plexi glass on it ala lambo / ferrari. It should be possible 😳

Put your lips together and push air out of your mouth rapidly. The faster you go the harder you push the air out.

Opening the windows actually reduces the engine noise. Odd, but true.

Judging by the responses, it seems I've spent too much time in the GT3RS. That rumble pack strapped to your back really ruins other cars for you.

Lol-worthy responses notwithstanding, I'm going to rip out the rear seats and the rear carpets to see if that makes any difference. The dog won't mind.

Next time buy a cabriolet.
Drive in more tunnels.
Drive next to buildings and jersey barriers, with open windows.
