In my mind gearbox choice (assuming a choice is possible) comes down to the intended use of the car. I love manual transmissions. Except when I need to commute with one. We have manual cars for 'fun' and PDK cars for daily-drivers.
I won't bore you with my story. But, I'll provide my personal conclusion.
I got exactly what I wanted in my 991TT and since I got it I've saved a lot of time and money because there's nothing I would change. I've stopped reading 5 different car magazines every month. I've stopped thinking about 'what's next.'
Buy exactly what you want. Don't compromise. If you do compromise then this next Porsche will be temporary. If you don't compromise you may not spend any more money on Porsches for a while and you'll be able to spend mental energy on other topics.
My $0.02.

Basically, letting the clutch out too fast because the engagement point is not where I'm expecting it. Which makes for a bit of a jerk as the clutch engages.
Also, I went 4th->3rd a couple of times when I intended to go 4th->5th.

Maybe late - but.... if they need your car NOW then get something for it. Ask 6% to do the transaction today.
Tell them another dealer will do 6% and that should do it to sign today.
