I was happy to know my first oil change was $0.00. I bought my 2017 C4S CPO from Porsche Nashville and had the first oil change yesterday at Porsche of Delaware. I was pleasantly surprised by the free oil change. I was more impressed by the great service. The free Cayenne loaner vehicle was the cherry on top.

Why was it free?

I don't know. Is it not free for everyone? Maybe the previous owner bought a maintenance plan.

Pretty sure first service is free on 2017. Helps to prepare you for your second oil change......$450.................

Never say "free". Say "no-charge".

You're paying for it. It's just burried someplace now. Still feels good.

Also, reading between-the-lines, I think this shows that Porsche thinks an oil change in the first year, regardless of low mileage, is truly important.

This is what I was told from the dealership. $400ish is hard to swallow but wirth it for peace of mind. I know I can go to an independent mechanic and get same quality oil change for 1/2 or less that price, but I want vehicle history to show all Porsche dealer service and hopefully they will give me a deal on my next Porsche.

I have purchased 6 Porsches from dealerships and had every Porsche serviced at each dealership. I have NEVER received anything FREE or NO CHARGE despite my dedicatation to each dealership. On the other hand, I just purchased a new Chevrolet PU and they will provide my next few oil changes FREE. It makes me rethink my dedication to Porsches. My oldest Chevrolet PO lasted way over 130K; my last Porsche lasted less than 100K.

By "lasted" do you mean it had some sort of catastrophic failure at 90k miles, or do you mean you sold it at that point?

Nope. I paid for it. It may be a dealership thing or some sort of maintenance plan.

What is it that you want for nothing, exactly?

Do you give your customers free stuff?

All I want is a (1) quality service/product. (2) On time. (3) Done right the first time. (4) At a fair & competitive price.
