OT: NorCal Oysters/Other Food Stops on Hwy 1/101 Coast Drives
We love driving up the coast in the 991 but always have trouble finding a good place to eat. Our favorite place for oysters so far is Taste in Eureka but we usually don't make it up that far.
Does anyone know of good places to stop further South? Maybe in the Point Reyes Station or Bodega Bay areas for when we're just going up for the day?

In Pt Reyes:
Station House is a solid standard fare kinda place. Just a good vibe indoors or out (so long as the weather is nice). But you really oughta try Stelina across the street.
North of Pt Reyes:
The Marshall Store is a great call, and a cool roadside gig. Nick's Cove also makes for a great getaway—though what you order makes all the difference (hint: My experience suggests they seem to care about making the stuff on the menu that's more unusual.)
In Jenner:
The coffee shack across the street from the only gas station is superb for coffee/snacks/etc. The restaurant hugging the cliff just north of Jenner used to be really, really good, but it's been a while since I've been. On the pricy side, iirc.
In Bodega:
Bodega is tough. Have never found the main place on the west side of 1 good for chowder, but have never found a place there worth traveling to. I view it as a place to get gas.
NOTE: I don't do oysters, so take all of the above with a grain of sea salt...

By the way, The Marshall Store was GREAT advice! We’ve been there like 3 times now! My biggest complaint with a lot of other oyster places is the lack of other options.

Would be fun to organize a Bay Area fun run up US1 if we have enough interest

Sounds like fun! Lasts weekend I drove highway 1 up the coast from Point Reyes Station up to Tómales. With the exception of a few areas just south of Tómales where the road was flooded it was a very move drive! There are so many great roads to explore In the area!
