White is #1 now across all models.
Jean-Gabriel Causse newsroom.porsche.com article.
"A few decades ago, red was the most popular color for cars. Now it’s white, followed by black, silver, and gray. Three-quarters of the new cars sold in 2016 were one of these colors."

Silver
Silver has emerged as the top color for 2017, especially for for luxury vehicles, sedans, and convertibles. This versatile color is more visually interesting than white or black while still being neutral. As a metallic, this car paint doesn’t show dirt as easily as glossy white.
White
White is this year’s most popular SUV color, ahead of silver and black. While black SUVs are often used in car service fleets, most buyers prefer a lighter car paint color for their family vehicle.
Black
Classic black is popular every year, and for good reason. Black is a stylish, modern option for every make and model. It is currently the second most popular color for convertibles, and the third most popular color for SUVs and overall.

There is a forum member who did a statistical analysis on cars for sale to try to estimate production by color. I believe he was able to find a statistically significant sample group of 997 cars. As I recall, black, silver/gray, and white cars made up about 91% of the production of 997 cars. Red, yellow, and blue cars made up about 7%, and the remaining colors were quite rare. Finding a 997 in a color like Nordic Gold or Racing Green is a difficult thing. I suspect the numbers are similar for 991 cars.

During our factory tour of Zuffenhausen plant in late July, the tour guide specifically mentioned that the most ordered color was black. However, observing what was coming down the various production lines I saw very few black cars. Maybe they ran out of black paints, or the guide was misinformed.

Although far from statistically significant, even in Los Angeles, the Porsche dealers' inventories are 90% white, silver, grey, and black Carreras. I think you're more likely to find the actual "colors" in the 718 cars as dealer allocations.
Just my empirical observation.

I live in MD and I'd estimate that at least a third of the 911s are black. Other than that I see a fair number of silvers, but rarely see a white 911. My estimate would be 35% - black, 20% - silver, 10% - gray, and 35% spread across the remaining colors.
