Alright today we started project 2
wrapping the roof. Protection to the front and Glas coating Ultra.
Watch this space as we had some good idea (inspired from the German Porsche forum )how really wrap
the roof a little different as you would take the Glas roof.
Hopefully finished by end of this week. Cross your fingers that it all works out. :-)

So i finally put together some pieces for the youtube tutorial.
Or just for the ones interested in how I did it.
Part 1 is about taking it apart
Part 2 not yet finished will be about the paint job and final result.
Hope u enjoy it.

Ok I am still changing small bits on the car
The wrapping has been done the glass coating still to come.
Here are some first pictures from the roof.
I think it looks awesome. If you look closely. We have wrapped it slightly differently in comparison to the Glass roof.
Don't u think this is a better finish to the roof ?
It now goes in line with Front and rear windows.

Your car looks great, Martin. Keep up the good work!
Congratulations and drive it in good health.

Martin, I have a suggestion: paint the turbo S 20 inch wheels in satin black. It looks great with the red exterior as you can see on the all new 2017 GTS! It totally changes the look of the car.

Since you asked for opinions, I am not so sure about the roof. Your car is awesome and I really like what you did with the painted pieces otherwise.
I typically associate a black roof with either panorama sunroof or a carbon fiber roof. Otherwise, it doesn't make a lot of sense. Just my opinion. I will say that the cut lines you chose make better sense than the stock glass sunroof

I wouldn't paint the wheels black, instead I would paint all the black areas of the wheels carmine red, leaving the polished areas as they are. Black wheels are so yesterday.

Hello all,
I ve been reading quietly in the past, not yet able to post, due to missing Porsche.
Nevertheless I finally got there
Unfortunately i took quite a detour to finally get here. As it has been a dream car ever since, I mostly had company and family cars and for fun and to not spend too much money, bought an M4.
Of course this could not go to well - and luckily someone was watching over me, so I had all sort of troubles, mostly engine related, with the M4 - most people would say poor luck, but for me - great luck - M4 went back, money back too and my wife said - its now or never
And I went and ordered a 991.2 Turbo s. I had great fun in configuration and looking at what i want and dont want. And......just before ordering it - I drove a 570s mclaren - which honestly speaking... is a really great car. I was stuck for a little bit to finally decide what i like more the PTS or the MCL 570s
In the end the Porsche was my choice :-)
I wanted something with color and decided for the carmine red in combination with some high gloss black styles to it incl. aerokit.
OMG it was really hard to wait all this time to finally get it - and only a week ago, I could finally pick it up. Which has been a sensational experience.
Thanks to all your postings on the 911 - helping me to decide on mine.
Here is the result.
I plan to do some additional modifications to it - but have not yet finally decided on all the bits.

MFA, a question for ya:
How did you disconnect the air lines to the pneumatic front splitter? Are the necked-down black rubber pieces that look like push-connectors indeed connectors?
