Default My new 991.2 Turbo S

Hello all,

I ve been reading quietly in the past, not yet able to post, due to missing Porsche.
Nevertheless I finally got there

Unfortunately i took quite a detour to finally get here. As it has been a dream car ever since, I mostly had company and family cars and for fun and to not spend too much money, bought an M4.

Of course this could not go to well - and luckily someone was watching over me, so I had all sort of troubles, mostly engine related, with the M4 - most people would say poor luck, but for me - great luck - M4 went back, money back too and my wife said - its now or never

And I went and ordered a 991.2 Turbo s. I had great fun in configuration and looking at what i want and dont want. And......just before ordering it - I drove a 570s mclaren - which honestly speaking... is a really great car. I was stuck for a little bit to finally decide what i like more the PTS or the MCL 570s

In the end the Porsche was my choice :-)

I wanted something with color and decided for the carmine red in combination with some high gloss black styles to it incl. aerokit.

OMG it was really hard to wait all this time to finally get it - and only a week ago, I could finally pick it up. Which has been a sensational experience.

Thanks to all your postings on the 911 - helping me to decide on mine.

Here is the result.

I plan to do some additional modifications to it - but have not yet finally decided on all the bits.

And as the Porsche is new - I also tried my first youtube vid...

not too fancy, so dont kill me :-) - but it gives you a better look on the car overall and also I think the color matches better in comparison to the pictures which come out a little to shiny red.

hope you enjoy

M

Looks great!!

I just took delivery of my guards red turbo order over in the USA. I also went with the black aerokit and red stitching - so obviously I like the look of yours

Absolutely gorgeous and a huge congrats! Carmine red....mmmm, feel like eating some candy!
Is it possible to get just the rear spoiler and the diffuser in high gloss black without getting the aero kit. Just personal preference but I like the painted side skirts.

Stunning! Looks like the wheel is stitched in white as opposed to the red? Hard to tell. Very Beautiful!

Curious as to why the side door/window trim is not high gloss..maybe I missed it or it's not available ?

Congrats! Very envious your wait is over, I still have two months of suffering ahead!

Beautiful build - love the aero kit.

I struggled on what to buy as well. I cross shopped the Huracan... loved it and would have bought the Spyder, but I'm too tall. Pretty ridiculous, I fit in the coupe fine but they moved the seats forward in the Spyder to accommodate the roof.

I also considered 488 and nearly pulled the trigger on an Aventador Roadster (which I amazingly fit in fine), but decided I wanted an exceptional daily driver and those could have only been weekend cars.

McLarens are great cars as well. Checked those out also, but kept coming back to the 911TTS. Hope I feel the same as you when it arrives. Definitely great cars!

Thnaks for all the feedback

@ace37 - yes good choice in contrast - your avatar looks really similar. I also like the dark roof, but as i dont like sunroofs and the little reduced height with a little more weight, i am planning on using black high gloss wrapping on the roof.

@nanook - side door window high gloss was not available to me - at least not in Germany

Also the front parts were not available in High gloss black - that is why i am planning to dismantle the front and the rear taking out the remaining matt black plastik bits and turning them into HG Black. Unfortunately seems a lot of work for small improvements, but could look really well
