This was a real steal. Dealer really wanted to get it gone. I'm a happy man today. I take delivery in 2-3 days. Pics coming soon!!

I think I will have quite a bit of fun here and not worry about the brakes and the extra 40hp. This will not be my track car but rather a all around workhorse. Mostly city driving and some highway, some road trips. Excited to have it come.
Congrats!

I'm going to take you with me next time I buy a car....well done!

Here's some related TT / TTS info

Excellence Magazine article - 12/13 issue (pp 62) interview w/August Achleitner, director of 911 product line stated that the 991 thicker piston crowns compared to the 997 Turbo were changed in the 991 Turbo to withstand "greater combustion pressure" w/no change in in the 9.8:1 compression ratio. They go on to say the Turbo S motor is mechanically unchanged from the base Turbo, relying purely on an ECU software remap for its extra power & torque.

2014, 2k miles, white, black wheels, sport chrono, seat ventilation, Leds, entry and drive, glass sunroof, adpative seats, tons of interior carbon with black interior.

The car looks awesome in white, the white looks very bright indeed. The light design package makes it look awesome at night. The car is getting some winter tires next week, ready to use it as my winter beater. So far its been an amazing daily driver for me!

Congratulations ! Not sure if it was available in MY14 but is your new ride "White" or "Carrera white metallic" ? Love to see some pics of your new ride. T

The color is "white". Non metallic, it looks awesome, my first white car. Ready to drive it 4 seasons like it was meant to do so!

Surely we can do something with the 'drop anchor' part. But, yes, PDA (Public Display of Acceleration) is not PC anymore.

Excellent! Did I miss your color choice or are you keeping it secret?

Excellent too!

Wow. That is a great deal. Your dealer probably gave the previous owner what? $110k trade? (Along with a depreciation heart attack.)

Hey Dave, Kinda and no secrets. Have had some nibbles on the 50th 4-Sale and if that goes through, plan is to order: http://www.porsche.com/microsite/por...px?c=/PHEDS7I5

It's "Carrera White Metallic" for now, but plan to check near order time if PTS is available. T

Great build. The only strong suggestion I have is ticking off the fire extinguisher option if you plan to do any track days. Other than the zero-dollar options, the FE is, I think, the only option that is cheaper from the factory than after-market.

Not really sure what their trade in value was but I'm assuming its something close to where I bought from them. The guy was a long time customer with 30 porsches over the years. Original price was 140k and i was able to talk them down 10k over a few weeks. Not really sure why they did it to be honest, I was speaking with another dealer about their turbo. I believe in the end the manager wanted my long term loyalty/cash...

Thanks Dave. Was looking for your TT build earlier for ideas but could not find. Have a few fairly new race type FE's so it's all good. Will start a new thread instead of littering here. T
