Must have options on a Turbo S
Guys, I have been looking at some Turbo/Turbo S recently. I realize the turbo s is pretty well optioned bone stock, anything else that is essential in this car?

Entry and drive and I really like the light design package. Very subtle but very cool mood lighting. I can't recall what option gives you the high beam assist but it's very cool as well.

For me, it was:
I also did the telephone module and voice control, but never use either and would not order them again.
I got the rear camera and really like it, but it doesn't quite make it on to the must have list.
Also, just for fun, I did the painted key and the leather key pouch. Not must haves by any stretch the imagination, but definitely fun to have.
- Heated & Ventilated Seats
- Porsche Entry & Drive
- Burmeister
- Glass Sunroof
- 18 way seats with memory

I would get the traction control, brake assist, side blind zone alert, adaptive cruise or distronic as Germans call it,back up camera with Navi and definitely satellite radio.

If an S: vented and heated seats, illuminated carbon sills (adds a very nice touch) entry and drive.
If non S: PDCC and SC as an absolute bare bones minimum (wouldn't touch it without those at any money)....and build from there at will.
Rear camera with front and rear sonar...goes without saying.....these are must haves. Have fun!

OP, you might want to determine if there are any options that you absolutely do not want.

As with ferraris, the front and rear sensors/rear view camera are not included. I think this is a must have as I live in the city with tight spaces. Does navi and bluetooth not come standard?

I left off the leather covered door sills guards (leather inner door sill guards
(XTG)) since my feet always chew this leather piece up.

Good question. I guess one answer would be a special colour option that no one else would ever want lol....or some wacky special option trim colour to match.
I think a trip to your dealer to check the standard equip is a must before anything. I do know the standard equip varies between countries...
I see you have a .1 997 so on that score any spec 991tt is going to be galaxies ahead of what you currently have. Once you become familiar with the enormous benefits the new chassis and power train has on offer you will want all you can get, especially in the handling and stopping dept....unless she is destined to become purely a boulevard cruiser. Then sacrifices can be made..

speed21's advice is good: check-out the standard stuff. The Porsche configurator and website is a great place to start.
I can only give you examples of what I did not want. You have to decide for yourself.
As for me, these are the options that were must-not-haves:
Center lock wheels
Sunroof (of any kind)
PCCB
Entry and Drive
Power Steering Plus
Edit:
Oh yes, and the Electric Parking Brake. Unfortunately that POS is standard.
