My PDK panamara makes a weird whirring noise, they've never figured it out, took it in a million times, useless. I eventually gave up. Glad it's a lease, glad its up, glad I have a 997.1 tt 6mt.
This is a lease too. What sucks is that I have anothe 23month left on it. I had a P4S and never had an issue except for the buck that ran into my front end. Sorry to hear you have an issue too.

People keep saying this is a 'first release' risk but many/most components like drive shaft and ok'd mentioned have been implemented since 2012... No? At this point they should just get you another car ...

Sorry to read of your vibration concern. Was the problem there at the time of delivery? I was curious if a part was in balance then gave away under use... Brake rotor?

Sounds like you have the right folks working on the problem although I would hate for the Porsche folks to conduct their comparison test drive and come back saying the vibration is inherent to the 991tt. Given all the 991s Porsche has delivered I wouldn't expect this to be an outcome.

Complex cars = Complex problems

And I can be an a-hole so we're even.

All the best with your car.

So far, this thread is making me feel bad for the dealer, which is an entirely new sensation for me.

Nothing made by God or Man is perfect. Give 'em a chance, they'll fix it.

That was my thought too. If the problem was inherent to all 991TT's wouldn't they already know about it. Comparing cars is trouble shooting for Porsche, really!! I'm getting back surgery on Tuesday, by the time I can get back into the car in a week, im hoping its fixed. Thanks for your thoughts Ed.

The dealer is bending over backward, as they should. They are professional's. They want to find the solution as much as I do.
Thanks Noah

I hope they find the issue with your car and make it right, I know I would be annoyed at the fact that I am driving a car that would lease for almost half the price while paying for the 991TT lease.

I wish you well with your back surgery, and I hope your TT is waiting for you at the dealership when you're ready to get back behind the wheel.

Sorry to hear about your troubles Joe. Hopefully you and your Porsche are both better soon!

PS. I haven't driven a TT yet, but I would seriously doubt the sort of vibration you are describing is inherent to the TT.

I did the same when the 2011 Super Duty's came out. It was a nightmare. In the shop for everything from electric sensor's to the turbo blowing out. I sold it immediately after that and smacked myself for buying a first year when I preached it myself. Never again, even though I am craving a 991 TTS, I have decided to wait it out...... for now, LOL.

Best of luck with your vehicle.
