My loaner is ok, but, come on!!!!
My 1 and 1/2 month old 991TT has been in service since 2-10 for a vibration that they cant figure out. The car vibrates in the seats and stearing wheel at 45-50mph, accelerating or decelerating. If driving at 47mph its constant. We changed wheels, balanced tires, changed tires, disconnected PSM, looked into the pdk shafts etc.. Nothing changed. Porsche North America is now involved.
Thinking outloud, I guess my biggest isssue is not having the car but additionally, I dont know if I can have peace of mind when it is fixed. I think I'll just drive it at 47mph to see if its really fixed, looking for problems.
I guess I need to be patient and see if they can find the problem.
Any thoughts would be welcome.
Thanks
Joe

Sorry to hear.
There are quite a few problems with new models Porsche built. Just check the 991GT3 forum.
I wonder if anyone here can help since Porsche can't figure it out...so I assume we'll have pretty much guesses....
It sure sounds like wheels that are out of balance...
Or maybe something vibrates and it gets transmitted throughout the car...like a heat shield or a defective engine mount causing the engine to move under a certain load etc.
Either way, good luck and let us know the outcome!

The PNA engineers both drove the car and admitt it's is vibrating. No answers, but they want to drive another TT to see if it does the same thing. Really??? Im staring to get pissed.

Sorry you have to go through this, Joe. On a side note, I had a loaner 13 Boxster, when I would pull out of my driveway and have the wheels turned all the way there was a vibrating feel. Kind of felt like a tie rod or something on the suspension was damaged. Otherwise the car handled well when driving. I have a similiar experience with the 14 991TT. None of my other cars have this issue. Is this normal for new model Porsche's.

Driveshaft?
I had a vibration on one of the GT-R's that was getting progressively worse. My mechanic (who is a Nissan Certified GT-R Master Tech) took in the car and found that two of the four bolts on the front main shaft flange were loose.
Obviously, the architecture of the 911 is different, but it does have shaft(s) that run to the front.

I was thinking drive shaft.they haven't got there yet.they want to compare it to another 991tt.
2020, are in Atl? PM me if you think you have an issue. so far Porsche N America's engineers are baffled, but they need to drive another car to compare with. That is what they're doing today or on Monday. I don't want my car to be the guinea pig, but if we can figure out the problem then so be it...
it sucks because I really wanted to take the car up to the mountains this weekend, it's going to be beautiful weather.

Sucks joe. I'm sure it's a minor thing, sounds like it's PDK related.
My PDK panamara makes a weird whirring noise, they've never figured it out, took it in a million times, useless. I eventually gave up. Glad it's a lease, glad its up, glad I have a 997.1 tt 6mt.

This is a lease too. What sucks is that I have anothe 23month left on it. I had a P4S and never had an issue except for the buck that ran into my front end. Sorry to hear you have an issue too.
