Default Turbo Aerokit Upgrade

Anyone here install the aerokit upgrade. If so, what were your thoughts afterwards? I thinking about doing this, not very expensive < than $4K. I have a paint booth, so my only costs would be only for the paint and supplies around $200.

I did it and I feel that it's a nice look. I had mine professionally painted the body color up front and gloss black on the rear wing.
The aerokit rear wing requires programming at the dealer to work properly, it's a very simple programming tweak.
Here are a few pics to give you a good look at the aerokit installed.

Very nice…thanks! Does the front spoiler come primed or just flat black? Did you drill holes in the bumper cover to mount the spoiler or use double sided tape?

I wonder why the rear spoiler has to be re-coded? Maybe because the wing is deployed at a different speed as compared to stock?

also, your side skirts look like they are the GT3RS style. Did you have those painted too?

Your car looks totally gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.

hi John hey is there a template or anything for lining up the screw holes? I’m doing this conversion right now and I do not have any template.
I’m assuming that you can drive fit it and mark the holes in the fender, but not sure what do you think?

I am not 100% certain, but I belive the parts came primed. The paint shop did the install, I don't know how they mounted the front spoiler, but I doubt that its double sided tape. If it came with instructions, they would have followed them. Sorry, I can not be more specific. Yes, the RS rockers are painted gloss black. IMO, they look really good like that and tie into the other gloss black parts of the car like the wheel centers, mirror triangles and the rear wing.

I think the aerokit rear wing sits at a different height than the standard one and maybe activates at a different speed, too.

Thanks for the compliment!

Mike,

I had nothing to do with the installation, so unfortunately I can not help you on that aspect of the installation. Sorry.

I just looked and I have them in pdf form. I can't seem to load them though, oh wait, see if that works.

I have the front aero add on. It requires drilling and screwing through the bumper to install. I like it. Had my go to paint shop do the install and paint work. Came primed. They still prepped, primed and painted.

Looking for a carbon add to the rear wing.

My pleasure, guys. Glad I had them to share. Good luck with the installation.

Another thing to be aware of that I recall from when I ordered...they said if you intend to do the full kit, order everything at once. They will sell the front lip a la carte, but not the rear wing. If you want the rear wing, you must purchase the front with it, no exceptions. At least that's how it was a few years ago.

Does anyone know 'exactly' how much lower the front ground clearance is, with the front Aero lip installed? Is it 1, 2, 3" etc.?

Also, does this still let you deploy/extend the 'front' rubber bumper spoiler, that's under the front of the car?
