Default 991.2 Turbo S oil temps

What is typical oil temp when cruising around in a 991.2 TTS? I swear when I first got the car the water temp and oil temp would track each other around 194 F. I recently had the radiator replaced due to a puncture and now my oil temp is stable but routinely 30 degrees higher than water temp ~225. It’s stable even under hard use. Is this normal?

Thanks in advance.

Normal. Mine sits at about 220 in Normal mode and drops closer to 200 in Sport and Sport+. The higher temp in Normal mode provides better fuel economy and the other modes anticipate you're going to get on it a bit more and provide some temperature headroom.

Ditto on my 2014 TTS, although 194ºF oil and coolant temp are the normal around town temps in Sport mode. Normal mode oil temps always run hotter for reasons noted above.

I was surprised when I did my first long highway trip in normal mode (for better range) to see 220º oil temps almost the whole way. When I selected Sport mode, they immediately dropped.

Thanks everyone. I had not appreciated the different cooling schemes based on drive mode. I think I was in normal when it was showing higher. I did track it this past weekend and temps were remarkably stable.

20-30f higher than water temps is normal. Getting the oil 200+ so it burns off condensation is a good thing. Plus oil lubricates better at operating temp, typically 220-250. You really want to warm it up and see 180+ before getting on it.

You must the same person that posted that on FB.

I'm the one that took the two different pics Running "Normal" mode vs. "Sport" mode and how much difference in cooling it provides!

Easy driving from cold....55* outside...... Normal vs. Sport... Huge diff. in temps of oil.

Went out for a drive today and indeed on normal mode, it was around 224 and as soon as I went to sport and sport+, it dropped to 194 and tracked water temperature until I got on it. Thanks for the feedback everyone.
