Quick, Quickjack Lift Review
When you can’t have a full pillar lift, this may be the next best thing. This is the 5000SLX so 3” less lift than the newer TL model and is currently on sale at Home Depot.
Set up: come in 3 boxes, 2 of which are very heavy (frames). Will need a little over 2qts of ATF or hydraulic fluid. Other than that it includes everything. The thread sealant included is worthless so absolutely use Teflon tape on all threads. Bleeding the air was fairly straight forward.
Lifting a 911: Plenty of ground clearance to
slide these under the lifting points, however sliding these steel frames on any type
of epoxy floor will scratch them so I lined the bottoms with felt tape to remedy this. Used the tall lifting blocks. Keep in mind the car will move forward as it lifts so keep enough clearance.
Summary and notes: Overall very impressed and satisfied with this lift. Seems like the perfect set up for these rear mounted engines that are accessible from underneath. I felt the lift height was plenty and had a comfortable work space.
My only criticisms are the remote offers no fine tune lifting or lowering. It’s either on or off, no slower movements I could achieve. The wheels on the frames for maneuvering are so close together it makes them unstable when moving.
Other than that I’m looking forward to getting a lot of use out of this lift 👍🏼

Love my Quickjacks, all 4 wheels off the ground in minutes. Wish my garage/floor was as nice as yours. Costco also has some pretty good sales on them.

Have had my Quick Jacks for 2 years. Only regret is I did not buy them sooner! Bought all the lift pad options as I have several cars and have found that different pads work better than others. The 72 takes a bit of time to find just the right positioning so as not to rub against a wheel while lifting. The TTS is so easy I will lift it when I'm doing a though detail job etc.

I was making and selling these glides for a while when I had my Zl1, pre Porsche ownership. They make moving the jacks effortless and do not scratch any floors, they hold tight with the weight of the vehicle. They’re expensive and time consuming to make and while I made about ten sets for folks it kind of died off as I didn’t pursue it past the Camaro group. Anyway, they’re made from low density polyethylene and attached with 3M VHB tape. I have the 7000 series jacks and are very heavy and they glide so easily with my glides.

I'd much rather have the space for a dedicated two-post lift, but with limited space, and the quick-jacks ability to easily store out of the way, very useful tool...

Pfbz I guess that last pic answers what kind of things can be accessed/removed with this lift. Was looking at a dual scissor but the mfr. never got back to me with an actual quote, and see that they also add a metal surcharges, so…rather than wait, I might want to go this route, if you can get to the bigger mods with it? Thanks.

Yeah, maybe short of dropping the engine, you can access quite a lot. Downside is you're laying on your back to do it. Lift would be ideal, but won't fit height wise in my garage, so not really an option.
