ok thank you, So it’s magnetically strong enough to attach to the mount magnetically and then hold the phone in place well? Most MagSafe chargers aren’t capable of holding the phone vertically. Just trying to clarify thank you.

been driving around with my 12 Pro MAX using this setup and very happy. Stays in place. I use the Apple clear magsafe case over the phone. https://www.apple.com/shop/product/M...e-with-magsafe

sorry for all the questions, but I researched the MagSafe charger and see that it is a usb-c only connection. So how do you have it plugged into the car ? Thank you again.

Something to think about. If you only want power to your phone, this works. If you want ApplePlay and power, you need to plug into the USB under the armrest. (Appleplay will not work with the USB in the glove compartment, unfortunately.)

Interesting, my Apple CarPlay only works when plugged in and everything I have read says wireless Applecarplay starts with the 2020 models.
Either way, I don't seem to have it in my car.

What vehicle are you using it in?

Do you guys have wireless Apple CarPlay?
What I have read is that it is not available on 2019 or earlier cars.

I can't seem to find an iOttie magsafe mount that looks like the one in this picture. Do you have a link?
Thx

you won’t. This is a rennline phone mount with a standard Apple MagSafe charger.

I see. I misunderstood the original post. I have a Rennline phone mount myself, that I combined with a Spiegel charger. I just saw that Spiegel now has a Magsafe charger as well, but then I also saw this post.

If I understand it correctly this is a Rennline charger with Rennline magnet, which holds an Apple Magsafe charger on top?
Via magnetism?
