Default Dyno Help-2014 Turbo S

Hey guys need some help here as I’m still new to the Porsche Turbo platform.

I recently had some mods to my 911 Turbo S (stock 560HP) and wanted to test the car out on the dyno for gains. This was an AWD linked dyno (BMW tuner) but the numbers seem off on HP. My car made 632 lbs of torque but only 512 HP, does that make sense? The TorQue number seems in line with the mods I did but not the HP #’s. Either way all good the car is extremely fast but I’m just looking to learn/figure this out. Thanks in advance!

Post the dyno graph. Did you log parameters ? Did they use Fans on the Intercoolers ? 93 pump gas ?

4th gear
93 Octane
Yes on fans
I find it hard to believe I gained 175lbs+ of TQ but only 30 HP with all the mods I did (Stage 2 tune, plenum, intake, exhaust, intercoolers). Thanks for the help fellas.

Something is definitely off. What tune? COBB OTS Stage 2? Stage 2 Cobb OTS is pretty much garbage. Ask me how i know

Evolution Motorsports Stage 2. The torque seems correct. Could the dyno not read Porsche with AWD?

I’m as baffle as you are too, my car was dynoed 2 weeks ago, 2014 Turbo S. It’s modded with BMS filter, Y pipe, plenum, AWS intercooler and catless fabspeed exhaust. My end result was 535 to the wheel and 638 ft lbs through Cobb. The tuner did all different tune and this is the best he can get out of mine.
it was also smoke tested for possible boost leak.

Weird! I know the car is fast and what it hangs with Roll racing (750+ HP) cars. I know torque is huge but to gain 175+ tq and 30 HP makes no sense still trying to wrap my head around it.

These cars stock are 485 HP/460 TQ

For a 3-4psi increase up top on pump 93, I would guess you are in the ballpark. As posted above, 535rwhp would be expected, but the dyno can make that difference up. Torque is were it should be.

They dyno stock around 480rwhp and 530rwtq on a DynoJet......so pretty solid gains for bolt ons and a tune. Most of the time when you see a huge torque gain in the mid range and a taper up top, you are at he octane limit of the turbo. You can push it higher, but you will need Meth or RaceGas because the IAT's will increase.
