Default Clutch, Gearbox, AWD Controller, and Final Drive fluid change DIY

Finally got around to finishing this DIY which I performed on my car a few weeks back. It is pretty straight forward once you get over the intimidation that this is an expensive piece. Special thanks to @TooTurbos for helping figure out the correct fluid for the AWD controller.

Also, if anyone is interested, I have some brand new (unopened) PTX 75w90 and FFL3 fluid left over for sale.

Great description... I guess if I can rebuild the engines on my 914's I could do this... maybe...

Thanks for the write up. Do you know if the AWD controller fluid is the same for the C4S?

I've been having a really hard time finding an official source that I trust on this one

Yes, I think they might be different. Take a look at the attached screenshots from the catalog parts list for a 991 vs the 991 tt/s.

You can get these from:

991 tt/s

991

To be completely sure, you can also email two or three dealers and ask them what the part number is based on your VIN. If they all match then you got a hit. This is what I did to be sure.

Would you be open to doing this work on another car?
