Default Ceramic Coating applied

I applied Armor Shield IX by Avalon King. Easy DIY, and only $45 delivered, after the coupon code. I pulled the wheels and, after a thorough cleaning, applied to the barrels and face of the wheels, as well as all the car paint. I’m pretty impressed. Pics were taken with an iPhone.

Thanks!

It’s easy. First wash the car in a car wash soap that removes all wax, I used Chemical Guys Wash & Gloss (Autozone), then clay bar the paint. Then a wipe down with Wax & Grease remover (Dupli-Color from O’Reilly’s). Then just a quick wipe down with Isopropyl alcohol. After that, apply to about a 2’x2’ ft section, let it sit for a minute and wipe off. I let it cure in the garage for a couple of days, and avoid water for 7 days and that’s it. No need to wax for 3 to 5 years based on use. The gloss is really noticeable.

Nice work, your efforts show. I have a side business where I paint correct and ceramic coat for Porsche friends and my dealership. It is always nice to see these well taken care of. I recently got my 14 TTS and put two coats of CarPro on paint and then topped with Gliss. On the PPF I put two coats of CarPro Skin. I don't expect the Skin to last long but it sure is slick which is great for removing bugs. I normally just do one coat of Ceramic but decided I would try extra. I'm always looking to try new products, I try them out on my 09 Cayenne GTS, it is a paneled patch work of different products . I'll try some of what you used. Thanks for posting!

Thanks,

Yep, stock suspension. I know it’d look better lowered, but I don’t want to lose any ride quality, or drag the nose.

Thanks, my phone camera doesn’t do it justice. The paint looks like it’s still wet in person. I ordered another bottle for my year old F150, it sits outside at DFW airport several days a week.

Ha! So, you know, the only real “hard” part is the prep. And that’s really easy. And, supposedly you don’t have to wax again for years, and future washes are far easier.

That is impressive, the car seems to 'glow'. Very nice.

About 4 hours, half of which included removing the wheels and taking care of those.

Where did you find alcohol to prep ? Not available around here.
