Four Post Lift

Four Post Lift
Thanks to Peter Imbimbo of Car Lifts Plus, I now have a Backyard Buddy Four Post Lift. Works flawlessly and fits the 991 Turbo S in the lower berth and the 328 GTS in the upper berth just perfectly. All this in a garage with a ceiling height of only 9'4".
Peter and his team did the installation, testing and troubleshooting in under three hours. The lift was packaged beautifully with no mars, scratches or rust. Backyard Buddy was the ideal solution for the limited ceiling height. I had a Lift Master 8500W garage door opener installed prior to Peter's arrival. I can't say enough about Peter's professionalism and level of service. He is a great resource for all of us in NJ, NY and PA.

you have it as close to the 991 roof as possible i would guess, how much space do you have from the 328 roof to the 9'4" ceiling. sorry for asking all this, i have a garage that is 9'5" and i have a 991tts and want to store a 68 porsche on top, its 51" tall compared to your 328 which is about 45" tall

We also tested it with the Turbo S on top and it does fit. The Turbo S is also 51", It will be tight, you just need to be careful when you raise it to release the lock when lowering it. If in doubt, I would reach out to Backyard Buddy and have them recommend a qualified installer in your area to do a site visit to make sure it fits. Good luck!!!

Great job and congrats on the new lift! It is such a gratifying ROI!
I had just 9' 6" to work with, and had people tell me "you need 10' or don't bother". I didn't listen to them, I just measured carefully and repeatedly!
Both my cars are 50 - 51 " in height, and they pretty much max out my available clearance. BendPak HD-9.

The real key is getting a jackshaft type garage door opener....that makes all the difference in the world in accommodating the car on the upper portion of the lift. Also, get the LED flat panel lighting if space is an issue.

Here's 16', for me the real value is to be able to keep the ramps on at all times and be able to walk under without bending, and i'm 6'3". So if you have the room, buying the extra large/tall versions of the 4 post lifts is worth the little extra money.

Getting some good ideas here... my detached garage has been customized to be 12' wider with 14' ceilings (over the original spec of the basic double garage), all in hopes of getting a lift. Original thought was asymmetric dual post, then started getting lazy and thought of 4 posts, but thinking I'll end up with a scissors lift. (like the Twin Busch) The first install was the jack-shaft opener... amazingly liberating to have the wide open space above.
@trice9 Nice 991.2 TTS... I haven't seen another one spec'd with the gloss black aero pkg on GT Silver - I thought I was the only one.
need to get the garages painted, and the floor commercially epoxy sealed.
