Default Remove Side Air Inlet

I searched around for this and I think it's a simple process but thought I would double check.
I want to remove the side air inlets on my TTS. May go carbon or RS type. Is there any special way to do it? Do I need to put painters tape anywhere to protect the fender?
Help appreciated.

They just pop out by pulling them straight forward. I took one of mine out to clean. You will have no problems.

Once the replacements are in your hand it will make more sense where all the clips are. Pretty sure I started by pulling the bottom out first working toward the top, there are a lot of clips on the intake

I replaced my OE plastic inlets with the OE carbon fiber pieces from Suncoast last week. They are very easy to remove by pulling them straight out. Start at the top.

I was able to pull out the passenger’s side with my fingers. I needed a plastic trim tool to remove the one on the driver’s side. The new pieces easily snap into place.

Very easy.

Old inlets out new inlets in. Put the RS inlets in last night. Easy out and in. Great fit, I really like them.
I thought I would prefer them in carbon but now that I see them I really like the look of the satin OEM pieces.

Very easy install. Pull forward to remove the old ones. Can be stubborn but they will come.
Line up the pins and push in the new one. Fit is quite good. Look is bolder than original.
