Installed a front and rear facing dash cam. I've been watching a lot of YouTube vids about car collisions and the litigation from those accidents. With all the crazy drivers around, I decided to have some ammo to protect myself just in case. And, ... I want to be able to record some cool drives like @Big Swole

@RadarP3C what brand/model did you choose? I've been thinking about getting a dash cam for a while, but haven't gotten around to it.

It does, quite a contrast actually.

On the basis I continue to make the 991 jealous, this morning Porsche Canada invited me to bring the 996 to the Corral in Vancouver.

Pretty chuffed, thought I'd share.

Good morning Andrew,

Happy Friday!

Please review the PDF attached for the comprehensive event plan and let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Summarizing some of the key points here:

Ø9:00 AM - Collective vehicle departure from Sunset Beach Park parking lot towards Rainbow Intersection for photo opp

Ø9:15 AM - Arrival at Porsche Car Corral (in front of MeeT Yaletown) for pre-approved vehicles

Digital copy of the map: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/vi...140771473&z=16

I went with a Cobra SC 400D (the D model has the addition of a rear camera included) after some online researching. This was highly rated and many times was rated #1 by many of the auto and electronic websites that reviewed dash cams. I also bought Cobra's OBD-ll connector that plugs into the car's OBD-ll receptacle ($39.00) to keep all the wires hidden. Set up was easy. It doesn't hold your hand while setting up, but it was/is easy to navigate.
