Very nice? Which headers are those you installed?

Agency Power had a set left and gave me a great deal on them.

Today I calculated the cost of my "little front apron ding" : $3625.58

That includes
- my labor at my shop rate for R&R, disassembly, reassembly of the front apron
- my labor for an oil/filter change and a brake fluid flush.
- parts (oil, filter, etc.)
- cost of new PPF on the front apron
- cost of stripping, repairing, repainting the front apron at a Porsche Certified body shop.

It includes NEITHER the "learning curve" for the front apron nor the 8+ hours I spent cleaning HEXs and all the other bits removed from the apron.
I spent about 10.5 hours on the apron, but the next time I think it'll be about 5.5. (Book time is 4 hours, but that includes 'free' overspray on stuff that should be removed based upon my observations of what typically happens in body shops...)

What was the cost of just the apron?

Last time the car was at the dealer, they charged me $1600 to recalibrate it after I drove into yet another concrete stopper.

Remarkably, it's still functional. Once it dies, I'm going to go gt3 front clip and have it coded out.

Is it largely plug and play?

Specify: The repair and paint bill from the body shop? PPF? My labor for the apron? Or the total exclusive of oil and brake flush?

If there were no parts involved then the charge was all labor for "futzing" with it. Even at $200 per hour that's 8 hours of work. Seems like a fishy charge.

Agreed it was fishy... Stealership.

Just curious about the apron in the sense, was the bladder damaged, or the control assembly?

Sorry for the lack of clarity, I've been in Mexico for the last three weeks and there's been a loooooooot of tequila involved.

Cheers,

How many Mezcal worms were involved?

No worms have been harmed over the course of my vacation.

However, I have been somewhat in vacation hell because I've been forced to drive a Kia van for the last three weeks; and it does not matter that it goes 120mph, it is still a Kia.

A van and it's a Kia also? You may have to turn over your Man Card to the proper authorities.

Baby brother, his wife, my lady friend, and my nephew were down... I know that's not an excuse, but my visa points would not allow me to get a suburban, my desert vehicle of choice.

It was somewhat shocking the cash value of renting a Burban, over $6k CDN when the dust settles, so kia van and visa points it was.

Ah. None of the above. The whole ‘deal’ was due to a parking lot scrape that happened last year during my annual Blue Ridge Pilgrimage.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Here’s the $3600 ding:
