Got a package from Sam today. So that was nice. Also picked up car from detail shop, and not happy with that. They peeled off the old clear bra, did paint correction and ceramic, and it looks worse than before. Edges all peeling up, dirt stuck under it, rough cut edges, and spots where "paint peeled off". What a waste of $4000. Should have no touched it. They said they will fix it, but why would a shop even let it out of the door like that.

Might want to BLUR or take down these photos showing owners license plates out as a courtesy to other Porsche owners. Thieves are using the internet and AI to track down collectable cars now like that Porsche 959 if it's not a tribute using the license plates and shop locations. @Pb Pedis

Thank you, it's a 97, 1 of 80 in Canada, 1 of 200 in NA, less how many that have been destroyed or stolen.

Sad that it is now worth more sitting in the shop under a cover than risking taking it out on the street.

Well, I tackled the carbon fiber door sills today. If you are thinking about doing this mod, it's easier to just order a new car with them installed 🤣

No, but it seriously did suck! Took me about 2 hours to get one side done. Scraping glue layer by layer as the adhesive remover dissolved it. I think I also got a contact high.

Really looks nice! Will the clear coat on the CF hold up to shoe scuffs?

Oh probably some. My 991.1 GTS had illuminated carbon sills and there were a few scuffs on them. You can polish some out. I think I'm going to have my PPF guy cover them when I take the car in October.

Clear side markers. Had gone back and forth on it for a bit but decided to just do it.
