What is actually done in the 4Y/40K Service?
Recently purchased a new to me 2014 TTS with just under 30K miles on it. I finally got all the maintenance and service history on the vehicle and it turns out I am due for the the spark plug change at 30K miles, but am also due for the 4Y/40K maintenance. What I am trying to find out is what all is included in the 4Y/40K maintenance. Do they change the spark plugs then anyways as well as do the brake flush as part of the service? What else is done at that service? Been searching the internet, but can't seem to find a complete list on what is done at this maintenance that isn't normally on the check list.
Thanks in advance.

Porsche Premium
Find a good Porsche Indy. Or find someone in a local Porsche club to answer your questions. If you go to the dealer get your checkbook out. They’ll sell you the farm.I hate dealers.

Open up your glove box and get into the factory maintenance schedule it will tell you everything you need to know
mileage and time
for example if you only have 2000 miles on your car but you’ve had your car for six years then you have to replace the drive belt
etc etc

Exchange belt?

if it has been six years since your production date then you change your drive belt
just like every two years you change the brake fluid even if you have 100 miles on your car
Get it??
If you don’t wanna believe the factories maintenance recommendations that is up to you
But for me these cars are very special and I’m going to perform the maintenance according to Porsche and not some bozo

I said that it was time sensitive

Oil goes bad (breaks down) over time which is shy it needs to be replaced periodically regardless of miles. Especially brake fluid. Some manufactures recommend changing the radiator fluid every few years to prevent corrosion. Not terribly expensive things to do and are well worth doing if you plan on keeping the car for a long time.

Do you actually own a Porsche turbo

Regardless of whether you agree with the service intervals it will negatively impact resale value if you don’t follow the guidelines. That should be reason enough to go by the book.

I am going in for the two year which includes, bleeding the brakes, changing the cabin filter, oil and wipers.
I expect a $10k bill.

No. I just paid $950 Canadian at Scan and that also included washing all the winter salt from my Turbo S. It would be more expensive but only probably by 30-50% at Porsche Langley, but they would also valet pick up the car. It only gets expensive when they need to change spark plugs (at 4 years).

Correction - it's indeed replacing it at 6 years. I was thinking about 4 year service.

I see. BTW, servicing at an independent is fine for warranty. The price savings are not that much though - I go to Scan for small stuff because they are closer and do Langley (with valet pick up) for bigger stuff.
