Before that, I used my wife for the same purpose, but that proved to be an unreliable method.
Be very careful doing this as I broke the heated seat wire wedging it this way. The thin wire in the seat is very fragile! Not cheap too fix!

hi there, I am new to this forum. I have owned a 1971 914 and a 2002 Boxster S (for 15 years). I just received my 2019 911 Turbo S and I got the center lock wheel.

I have some questions:
1. where did you purchase the socket to remove the centerlock nut?

The socket should be in a storage compartment underneath the bonnet. You have to remove the plastic cover that hides the battery to access it.

Irwin quick clamp FTW! I used to brace it against the seat but wasn’t happy the way it creased the leather even with a towel. Lucky I stopped that before breaking the seat heater. Better to brace it against the back of the steering wheel which is plenty sturdy and holds the force better anyway. Only trick it to kind of sidle yourself to the left when setting the brake so you don’t have to hoist your

leg around it getting out of the car.

Here's the location of the socket after you remove the bonnet cover ...
